Jamie Slupe

Dr. Jamie Slupe

Veterinarian

Dr. Jamie Slupe is a York, Pennsylvania native. She obtained her degree in Biology from Bucknell University in 2005. She then attended Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2009. She completed a one-year
rotating internship at California Veterinary Specialists in southern California. She remained with the same practice group for the next 7 years, working in emergency medicine.

After the birth of their son, she and her husband moved back to the East Coast to be closer to family. She spent two more years in emergency medicine before purchasing Creekside Animal Hospital with Dr. Cawley in 2019. She has strong interests in soft tissue surgery, pain management, and wound care.

Dr. Slupe enjoys spending time with her friends and family (including their many animals) and cake decorating in her free time. The family is currently completed of a small herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats, many chickens, several dogs, and one cat (who rules them all). She looks forward to working with you and your furry family members.

Dr. Michelle Ilardi Cawley

Veterinarian

Dr. Michelle Cawley is originally from Morgantown, West Virginia, where she also did her undergraduate studies in Biology and Animal and Nutritional Sciences at West Virginia University. She then went to Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2015.

After working in Florida and Baltimore, Maryland, she moved to Northeastern Pennsylvania in 2017. In her years here at Creekside Animal Hospital, she has developed a love for all things dermatologic and internal medicine related. Dr. Ilardi loves reading and spending time with her husband, dogs, and cats when she isn’t working.

Cathy Martin

Receptionist

Cathy grew up in Kingston and graduated from Wyoming Valley West (1983) and Misericordia University (1988). Cathy moved to the Back Mountain and built a log home with her late husband in 1996. She has two daughters, three grandchildren, and 3 fur children – an Alaskan Malamute and 2 cats. She has worked as a Veterinary Assistant, Veterinary Technician, and Veterinary Receptionist and has been in the field for over 20 years! She enjoys kayaking and spending time with her family.

Nichole Blasko

Certified Veterinary Technician

Nichole grew up in the Pittston area, where she still resides. She graduated from Johnson College’s Veterinary Technology program with an Associates Degree in Science in 2011. After graduating and obtaining her license, Nichole worked at a local emergency and referral hospital in the surgery and emergency departments for several years. Nichole joined the Creekside family as she was looking to slow her life down and needed a more structured schedule while still practicing high-quality medicine. When not helping the critters at Creekside, Nichole enjoys spending time with her pup Charlie (Chocolate Labrador) and her cat Nala. She also enjoys spending time outdoors, is an avid football fan, and has found a new passion, CrossFit, which has been great for her physical and mental health.

Corey Stambaugh

Technician

Corey graduated from SUNY Cobleskill in 2009 with an Equine Science degree. After graduation, she worked at a local horse barn, training horses, competing, and teaching lessons. She became a veterinary technician in 2011 and immediately fell in love with all aspects of the job. Corey has been with Creekside since 2016! Currently, Corey lives in Forty Fort, and when she’s not working, she and her husband, Andrew, enjoy taking their dogs hiking, riding their horses, and spending time with family.

Kira Corby

Technician

Kira is originally from Pittston, Pennsylvania. She started out working her first job as a veterinary technician at Pittston Animal Hospital for five years. Kira attended Misericordia University, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. After working in social work for five years, she realized working with animals was her passion! She began working at Creekside Animal Hospital in March 2013. Kira and her husband, Michael, married in 2014 and reside in Monroe Township with their daughter, Lexi, and their black lab, Jayse. Kira loves shopping, going on jeep rides, watching football, and spending time with her family and friends.

Nicole Russell

Technician

Nicole is an animal lover who became a veterinarian technician through training at Creekside Animal Hospital. She has worked at other veterinary clinics in the past and has volunteered at Blue Chip before joining us here at Creekside. She has also participated in family-run fundraisers for animal shelters in the area. She is pictured here with Bella, who was fostered and adopted through Blue Chip.

Receptionist

Jenn joined the Creekside Animal Hospital team in March of 2024. She lives in Shavertown with her husband, 3 children, and 2 corgis, Murphy and Forest. In her down time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and crocheting.
